Copy Editing


We check and correct minor errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, style consistency and formatting to ensure that your material measures up to the highest standards.


Rates: P350.00 per 300 words

Minimum per project: P3,500.00

*We reserve the right to evaluate whether the material requires copy editing or substantive editing and rewriting.


Substantive Editing and Rewriting


We revise your material according to your objectives and intended audience, covering not only correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, style consistency and formatting but also applying the most appropriate tone and slant.


Rates: P700.00-P1,500.00 per 300 words (depending on complexity of material and extent of revision)

Minimum per project: P7,000.00

Developmental Editorial Consultation


This covers extensive and in-depth consultation from project conceptualization to outlining, according to your objectives and intended audience.


The client is expected to provide research and the draft of the material. Two further consultations on necessary revisions are provided.


Any substantive editing and rewriting or copy editing of the draft shall be covered by a separate agreement.

We write the material based on information you provide and according to your objectives and intended audience. An initial draft and two revisions are provided.

2001: As MAIA JOSE, wrote the Hawlang Apoy (Cage of Fire) trilogy published by WEDPRO and funded by the Ford Foundation, using the Filipino romance novel medium in raising awareness on the issues of prostitution, white slavery, mail order bride syndicates and the stigma that makes it difficult for the women involved to start life anew
